The study Energy Prospects: Green Hydrogen in Campeche presented

On October 9, the study Energy Prospects: Green Hydrogen in Campeche was presented, with the participation of Mtra. Jocelyn Durán, Head of the Ministry of Environment, Biodiversity, Climate Change, and Energy of Campeche (SEMABICCE), and Philipp Schukat, Coordinator of the Climate Cluster of GIZ Mexico.
The state of Campeche has great potential for solar energy production to generate green hydrogen, an important energy vector for the energy transition. By 2050, an accelerated cost reduction is identified that could place green hydrogen production in Campeche below 2 USD/kg, making it competitive against fossil alternatives in various applications.
The study was prepared with the support Mexican-German Energy Partnership. The document is available under the following link: https://energypartnership.mx/fileadmin/mexico/media_elements/reports/Prospectiva_Energetica._Hidrogeno_Verde_en_Campeche.pdf
