The Energy Partnership participates in the 2025 World Solar Energy Forum

The German-Mexican Energy Partnership had the privilege of participating in the 2025 World Solar Energy Forum in Sonora, a key platform for exchanging experiences and perspectives in the energy transition.

During the event, Fabian Barsky, technical advisor in the Energy Partnership presented the first initial findings of our upcoming study on the potential of green hydrogen in Sonora, one of the regions with the greatest prospects for sustainable energy development in Mexico.

In parallel, we took part in the Climathon of the CATAL1.5°T project, where students from across Sonora developed and presented sustainable energy project ideas aimed at strengthening local climate action. Their creativity and commitment reaffirm the essential role of youth as a driving force for innovation in the energy transition.

We extend our gratitude to the Sonora Energy Cluster, the Secretariat of Economy and Tourism of Sonora, and the Municipal Agency for Energy and Climate Change of Hermosillo for the invitation and for promoting these spaces of dialogue, inspiration, and collaborative progress.
