Implementation of the "Innovation and Energy Program" for energy Mexican startups

Growth and development opportunities for Mexican startups and ventures

Mexico. - From March 8th  to March 25th, the German - Mexican Energy Partnership (EP) together with the Mexican-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK) implemented the Innovation and Energy Program for Mexican Startups by organizing six virtual workshops.

The objective of the program was the strengthening of capacities and the exchange of experiences and knowledge. In addition to the creation of a learning network among the participants, which allowed them to interact with each other and learn from their experiences and knowledge of the Mexican energy sector.

The topics addressed in each workshop were:

  • Energy Market in Mexico and its laws – opportunities and restrictions
  • Networking with Government Institutions and Market Companies
  • Networking with Incubators, Accelerators, and other organizations
  • Funding Opportunities
  • Increased Competitiveness
  • Intercultural Communication

The Startups that actively participated were: Yipi Sustainable Minimobility, Atom Innovatec and Eneryou, these being the winners of the INC Tech & Social Impact Energy Challenge in different categories. Phineal, winner of the EP and Siemens Energy Mexico Challenge: “Blockchain in the energy sector”; and Simplify, E-Neutras, BioEsol and Blue Global Energy, startups selected to participate in the capacity building workshops.

The implementation of the Innovation and Energy Program is part of the successful efforts carried out by the EP to strengthen the capacities of Mexican startups that with their initiatives promote the transformation and innovation of the energy sector.
